Welcome to Plum Creek Quarter Horses! We are breeders dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Foundation Bred Quarter Horses. We believe in the soundness, usability and versatility of the early Quarter Horse genetics, the bloodlines of the original “cowboy's horse” that opened up the Old West, the horses that worked the cattle and fed our Great Nation. Our primary goal is to breed the modern version of the Foundation Quarter Horse, a horse that excels in working competitions as well as a day or a week on the trail, and yes, still works cattle on our present day ranches. The primary bloodlines used in our breeding program are those of Foundation Bred Poco Tivio and King P-234 with outcrosses on Three Bars (TB) and Leo blood -- "nicks" that have proven very successful down through the years to present time. We have been very successful in producing sound, intelligent, highly trainable and durable performers in all the working fields, cutting and roping horses, barrel racing and reining horses, colas and cala, penning, trail, and pleasure horses. Plum Creek Foundation Bred Quarter Horses have been shown all over the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, France, Germany and Spain. We offer 5 Foundation Bred Quarter Horse Stallions for stud service as well as many Foundation Quarter Horses for sale. For 30 years we have been formulating our breeding program (four generations) with great care to provide the desired equine traits of: good disposition, intelligence, great conformation, good bone, excellent muscle definition, large rear end plus lots of physical ability and cow sense, the essence of quality Foundation Breeding. You are invited to study our pages carefully. Each of our horses has a photo, pedigree and calculated percentages of Foundation blood. You will find the bloodlines of Poco Tivio, King, Foundation bred Poco Bueno, Three Bars, Leo, Doc Bar, Doc’s Sug, Tiger Leo, King Hankins, Speedy Glow, Tripolay Bar, Little Hanker and more in our pedigrees.
